In 1979 the Company purchased Black and White Garage, a move that brought Duncan back to his home-town of Newbury. Black and White Garage immediately became dealers of new and previously owned Alfa Romeo cars and in 1985 we adopted the Fiat franchise alongside Alfa Romeo. Sixteen very successful years followed and in 1995 it was decided that in order to grow the business further, we should become independent specialists. Since that time business has increased two-fold and we are now one of the largest dealers of previously owned Alfa Romeo cars in the United Kingdom, always accompanied by a selection of previously owned Fiat cars too.

In June 2001, I returned from working in California and became the fourth generation of the Wheeler Family to be involved in Newbury's Retail Motor Industry. I am here at Black and White Garage to ensure that as a team, we are able to successfully continue to accommodate your motoring requirements for your and our generations to come. As a family run company our success can be attributed to our experience, knowledge, enthusiasm and above all our care towards our customers. This should be expected after more than forty years in business! We are a small dedicated team who know both our business and our products inside-out, with two-thirds of the Company's enthusiastic staff having been here for well over fifteen years!
